Andy Serkis, the artist of “The Lord of the Rings”, is working on a Minecraft adaptation. He will be the director and screenwriter of the project.
Serkis is known for his work in the films “The Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit”, where he played Gollum and performed motion capture. He also directed the film “Monster” and the series “Black Mirror”.
The Minecraft adaptation will be based on the video game developed by Mojang Studios. The game is a sandbox with an open world where players can build and destroy blocks to create their own worlds.
Serkis said he wants to create “a film that will appeal to both Minecraft players and those who have never played the game”. He added that the film will be “a fantasy adventure that will explore the themes of friendship, creativity, and imagination”.
